Lakers News: Anthony Davis Details How He Wants LeBron James To Approach His Rehab

How the Lakers big man feels about his injured comrade.

The Los Angeles Lakers have suffered through some injury woes this season.

Laker guards Austin Reaves and Lonnie Walker IV missed some time going into the new year with a hamstring injury and knee tendinitis, respectively.

Lakers superstar forward Anthony Davis missed 20 consecutive games from mid-Decmeber to late January due to a foot injury.

And now Lakers guard D' Angelo Russell has missed five straight games due to an ankle injury, and superstar forward LeBron James will be out for at least three weeks due to a right foot injury.

Luck, health, and time are not on the Lakers side as we're winding down the regular season. Even though the James injury is a tough pill to swallow, Davis told the media that he shouldn't rush back his injury regardless of how badly LA needs him.

"I don't want him to rush back early...I want him to get completely right and healthy before he comes back. It's on us to step up and win basketball games. We have to let him take care of what he needs to take care of and when he comes back we're able to start rolling again."

These past three seasons, including this one, have been very frustrating and disappointing because the Laker stars suffered injuries, causing them to miss extended time.

We all know what a healthy Lakers team can bring to the table; however, a healthy Lakers team is as rare as a total solar eclipse.

No matter what happens, this team can't seem to have health on their side, and much of that causes poor play.

James is inching closer to 40 years old and has missed more games in his tenure with the Lakers than in his first 15 seasons.

Davis was injury prone before becoming a Laker and has continued to suffer through injuries in the purple and gold.

It's easier to win in this league with star players, and it seems more times than not that the Lakers are without one of their two star players.

Nonetheless, the Lakers are within striking distance of a shot at the play-in tournament and will look to get in with less than 20 games remaining.
