Los Angeles Lakers reserve guard Dennis Schröder enjoyed an eventful Game 6 in LA's series against the Golden State Warriors.

First, he was promoted to a starting gig over power forward Jarred Vanderbilt to combat the reigning champs' smaller lineup. His defense on Stephen Curry has been a big element of LA's success in this series. Though no one can stop The Baby-Faced Assassin, at least players like Schröder, Austin Reaves and Vanderbilt were able to make him work for his points in this series. Once again, Curry's efficacy as a three-point shooter was limited last night.

Schröder's evening got even more interesting once he got into a bit of a kerfuffle with Warriors power forward Draymond Green in the contest's first quarter.

In the third quarter, the dynamic duo was at it again. Green appeared to be trying to provoke Schröder by shoving a dead ball into his face. Schröder, unwilling to back down, met the moment. An attendant ref didn't quite see it that way, and instead assessed technical fouls to both players, despite Green being the instigator and Schröder essentially just holding his own.

Because it was Schröder's second tech, he was instantly ejected from the matchup.

After the dust had settled and the Lakers had won the game (resoundingly) to advance to the Western Conference Finals, Schröder took to Instagram to pay his respects to Green and essentially covertly clarify there was no bad blood between them.

Given that Green has a player option for the 2023-24 season and Schroder will be an unrestricted free agent, perhaps it was a tactical move on the point guard's part to not cut himself off from any potential opportunities alongside the four-time champ.
