Lakers News: First Look At Austin Reaves’ Limited Edition Signature Sneaker

Are the shoes Drippin' or Trippin'?

An impactful summer for the Los Angeles Lakers all comes with its most creative juices, and not only is Austin Reaves newly signed 4-year deal very juicy, his newest sneakers might be the cherry on the top of an ice cream sundae.

I'm not joking. It's called the "Ice Cream" Rigorer AR1, and it's got some assorted flavors to it.

Reaves' new signature shoe comes in a style that looks rather delicious than cool.

There are some interesting features to the AR1, including a marksman reticle on the back heel side of the sneaker.

The low top pair looks very similar to the sole of Kobe Bryant's sneakers just until you get to the tongue, where it looks to have a bunch of... Tic-Tacs?

Not your ideal pair of basketball shoes, but maybe its not meant to be worn as there will only be 2,000 pairs available worldwide.

Reaves announced his shoe deal with Chinese brand, Rigorer, a couple weeks before he signed his 4-year/$54 million deal with the Lakers, adding to his already impactful summer.

The third-year Laker's first signature sneaker is scheduled to launch on August 11 at noon Eastern Standard Time, and again, only 2,000 pairs of the sneakers will be produced worldwide, and fans can purchase them for $100 in adult sizes at KICKS CREW and on the Rigorer website.

"From growing up in Arkansas and being undrafted to now having my own signature shoe, this is a surreal moment for me. Working closely with the design team, the AR1 is all about maximizing performance and efficiency on the court. The AR1 not only matches my all-around game but is also adaptable to all players."

So give us your thoughts? Are these shoes Drippin' or Trippin'?

As long as AR15 is balling out the way he does, I could care less what he puts on his feet. Let's see who ends up Coppin' the new "Ice cream" AR1 Rigorers.
