Tristan Thompson hasn't been successful in finding his way back to an NBA this season just yet but he has found himself in numerous headlines. The former NBA champion worked out for your Los Angeles Lakers a few days ago in hopes of filling their final roster spot.

No news has come of that workout just yet but Thompson has been staying busy in the meantime, starring as a guest on "The Draymond Green Show." The two big men chopped it up about a number of topics including the former Cavalier's goals to play basketball again, memories of their finals battles in the 2010's, and most notably, shared their thoughts on Mario Chalmers' recent comments about how players do not fear LeBron James.

This take hit every wrong nerve in Thompson's body and he did censor himself when responding to the retired point guard.

"That s**t pissed me off," said Thompson. "Mario Chalmers, at one point, you were probably texting LeBron to get on a team, to get a job. So because he couldn't get you a job or get you on a team... How can you say that about a guy you went to war with, who believed you? And then you're going to come and say nobody fears LeBron?"

Thompson was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2011 and remained with them for the first ten seasons of his career. He went to four straight finals with The King and they won one together in 2016. The two of them took the floor together against some of the best championship teams ever assembled and their friendship has far outgrown just the basketball court.

His loyalty to James is clear and he does raise a great point. I do think that him jumping to conclusions that Chalmers begged him for a job is a bit excessive but seeing that the former Kansas guard was a part of two championship Heat squads with James, he should respect his name a bit more in interviews.
