When thinking of the most popular basketball shoes in today's game, hoopers tend to prefer the lines of LaMelo Ball's Puma exclusive, James Harden's series with Adidas, and the newly released Ja Morant 1's. However, Lakers superstar LeBron James has taken over the market this year with his LeBron XX's.

James released his first shoe under Nike during his rookie year named it the "LeBron Air Zoom 1." He had just signed a seven-year deal worth around $90 million with the company before he even stepped foot on an NBA court. This sneaker was the first of many to come over the next two decades.

However, when looking at James' newest releases this season, we have noticed he has taken a new approach in the whole design. The 4-time champion has always been known for producing kicks that are a little bulkier than most and usually high-top. This was meant to suit James' unique play style and protect the very feet that allow him to perform.

But the LeBron XX's have completely switched to a much more modern look. They are very low-cut and light around the ankle. Many fans have compared this version of James' signature shoe to those of Kobe Bryant and Paul George.

The Ohio Native has opted to partner with Faze Clan, one of the biggest Esports organizations in the world, on one of his latest sneaker drops and they have named the masterpiece "LeBron NXXT Gen X FaZe Clan."

This is huge for Faze Clan as they only continue to add to the list of athletes they have worked with. NFL star Juju Smith-Schuster was in business with them for a while, LA Galaxy has allowed them to sponsor their games, and they have even added Bronny James, LeBron's eldest son, to their team in the past.

The shoe itself comes in a box that is modeled after a PC, which is the very device that allowed Faze Clan to jumpstart their careers. James bridging this connection between the gaming community and Nike is a great sign for the respective companies moving forward. We all remember Paul George's famous collaboration with Playstation and James is helping take it a step further.
