Right after the Los Angeles Lakers were swept out of the Western Conference Finals by the Denver Nuggets, star LeBron James made comments hinting at a possible retirement. It was a shock to many but nobody really believed that it was ever going to happen this summer.
The following days were filled with speculation but nothing official. It was said that the team was acting like he was returning but that his mind wasn't made up yet. James continued on but left hints. He posted pictures of all the Lakers new free agent signings on his Instagram story and liked all the Lakers official page posts.
But at the ESPYs this season, James announced that he is indeed not done yet. It was met with laughs from the audiences but at long last, clarity was here for Laker fans. However, most people already knew this and some of the reactions to him officially saying that he is coming back were pretty funny.
The Lakers are glad to have their star back and the NBA is as well. Even at his advanced age, James is still the biggest show in the league and it's better for business with him playing.
