Lakers Injury Report: Status Of LeBron James Updated Prior To Rockets Game

In this story:

Your Los Angeles Lakers got good news prior to their game against the Houston Rockets on Sunday, as star LeBron James was upgraded from being questionable to playing. He will take the court against Houston, and the Lakers get their star to kick off their mini three-game home stand.

James being able to play should help the Lakers in this game, and he can continue his great start to the season. Through 12 games, James is averaging 25.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. In year 21, he doesn’t seem to be slowing down much and looks like he is getting better.

The team is coming off a nice win over the Portland Trail Blazers that saw James turn back the clock a little bit, as he dropped 35 points in the win. LA improved their record to 7-6 on the year, and they will be looking to keep the winning ways going against Houston.

It has been an up-and-down year for this team, but they have shown some flashes of dominance lately. They led the entire game against Portland and they shot 40% from beyond the three-point line as a team. LA is slowly getting better in that category, and hopefully, they can keep it up against this young Rockets squad.

The Lakers were blown off the court by the Rockets in their first matchup a few weeks ago, so the hope is that they will have a better effort tonight. Star Anthony Davis didn’t play in the first game in Houston, and having him back will be a big help.

They need to play as a team tonight, and not settle for poor shots, which has hurt them this season. If LA can play with high energy and get off to a solid start, they should be able to take down Houston at home.
