Lakers News: Giannis Antetokounmpo Offers Scouting Report Of Pacers Prior To LA Game

In this story:

We have arrived at the championship game of the NBA In-Season Tournament and your Los Angeles Lakers have clinched a spot in the game. They took down the New Orleans Pelicans fairly easily in the semi-final to keep their undrafted run alive in the tournament.

They will be playing the Indiana Pacers in the game, who ousted the Milwaukee Bucks in the semi-final. Indiana has shocked some people with their play and they also are undefeated throughout this tournament run.

Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo provided a scouting report for the Pacers after playing them in the previous game.

“They played incredible. They have incredible coach that has an incredible system. Play a lot of small ball. Play fast. They are a very, very good team and they have a very good player (Haliburton) that he's like a machine that is not turning the ball over and makes good plays."

Per Giannis Antetokounmpo

Antetokounmpo is one of the smartest players in the game today, so the Lakers may want to pay attention to this report a little bit. The key will be making guard Tyrese Haliburton the focal point on defense and forcing others to beat them.

Haliburton has heavily stepped up his game this season, and the Lakers must take him seriously. His ability to not only knock down three-point shots at a high clip but also to get to the basket easily as well.

The defense will need to be the name of the game here for the Lakers, as the Pacers are strong offensively. But if they can lock them up a little bit, it will directly play into their hands.

We should be in for a fun championship match between two good teams that are ready to take home the crown. The hope is that when all is said and done, the Lakers will emerge as the last team standing.
