Lakers News: LeBron James Explains How LA Handles Losses Despite Onslaught Of Impending Games

In this story:

It has been a strange season for your Los Angeles Lakers so far, with them hovering around .500 for the most part. It's not the start that anyone would have hoped for from LA, but they continue to push through the challenging times.

They have dropped some games that they should have won, and for them, it's all about learning from the experience. Lakers All-Star forward LeBron James broke down how the team looks at losses, despite all the games coming up on their schedule.

“We have too many games that are coming up on top of us very soon and they’re going to be flying,” he said. “This is three in four nights and we play Friday and we play Sunday. We’ve got a lot of games coming. So you learn from the mistakes, you learn from some of the good things you did, but then you move on.”

Per Helene Elliott of The Los Angeles Times

James is absolutely right, and the Lakers don’t have the luxury of time on their side. They need to start stacking wins sooner rather than later, if anything to make sure they stay relevant within the Western Conference standings.

The schedule isn't doing this team any favors, but it's just how things go in the NBA. Guard Austin Reaves may be young, but even he understands that each team goes through stretches like this.

“Everybody goes through it. Every team that has ever played has done the same stuff. But you’ve just got to fight it,” Reaves said of the unforgiving schedule. “The second half was much better. You’ve just got to fight it as much as you can."

Per Helene Elliott of The Los Angeles Times

The Lakers have shown their true potential at different points this season, and it has led them to take down some good teams along the way. It hasn't been pretty whatsoever, but they are still leaning to play alongside one another.

These growing pains should only help the Lakers in the long run, and they can use time as motivation later on. LA remains one of the better teams in the Western Conference, despite the issues so far, and hopefully, they can find their groove soon.
