The 2022-2023 season is winding down, and one thing is sure, your Los Angeles Lakers will AT LEAST make the play-in tournament. LA still controls its own destiny, and we'll see how the regular season ends for them.

Award predictions are flowing throughout the media, with the regular season winding down. Who will be the MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, 6th man, Coach of the Year, etc.? There is no clear-cut favorite; we'll see how those play out. Another significant awards by the NBA are the All-NBA team.

The All-NBA team selections will be debated as always. Still, NBA senior writer for the Atheltic John Hollinger predicts Lakers superstar Anthony Davis NOT LeBron James, will make an All-NBA team.

Hollinger predicts Davis will make the All-NBA Second Team.

All-NBA Second Team

PG: Damian Lillard, Portland
SG: Donovan Mitchell, Cleveland
SF: Jimmy Butler, Miami
PF: Anthony Davis, L.A. Lakers
C: Nikola Jokić, Denver

As for Davis, he only played 53 games through Wednesday, but that’s still more than Durant or Leonard. Plus, he was awesome this year, very nearly cracking the top 10 in VORP and win shares while playing only two-thirds of a season and finishing fifth in PER. Of the other low-games guys, he’s the one most worthy of a second-team nod.

If Anthony Davis plays in the remainder of the regular season games, he'll finish with 56 games in the season. That's roughly 68% of the games, much more than many expected of Davis.

Besides that, the Brow had a phenomenal season in the purple and gold. He's averaged 26.3 points per game, 12.4 rebounds (would be a career high), and 2.6 assists per game with splits of 56.8%/26%/78.2%. Anthony has battled through nagging injuries throughout the entire season and is still playing like his dominant self.

Make the jokes, and laugh when he grimaces; there is no doubting the toughness he shows by stepping on the floor and playing at a superstar level. For some reason, he gets a ton of slack for all the nicks and bruises he endorses, but he brushes that off and still plays his you-know-what off.

When Davis is on the court, he plays better than anyone in the league, and I must agree with Hollinger; he deserves an All-NBA selection. That's how Hollinger and I feel; we'll see what the voters decide.
