Three things are guaranteed, death, taxes, and LeBron James and Stephen Curry meeting in the playoffs. It's become inevitable at this point, and the stakes are at an all-time high.

The two are so familiar with their games that they particularly know them like the back of their hand. They've had countless battles on the floor and never disappointed.

They know each other's play styles so well there is nothing they haven't seen each other do. This second-round meeting between the two is the fifth time they have met in the postseason. Lakers insider for ESPN Dave McMenamin spoke to James prior to the start of the series and described the matchup between himself and the all-time three-point shooter.

"Just two of the most competitive players that have ever played this game," James said of the dynamic between him and Curry. "And we want to etch our names in the history books as much as we can. But playing and doing it our own way."

The two are some of the greatest players we've ever seen grace the basketball floor, and they have given us some epic battles. The Lakers won comfortably in their first-round close-out game against the Grizzlies, and the Warriors had to go to a game seven to advance. Curry had an all-time game dropping 50 points on the Kings' heads. James was asked about Curry and his ridiculous shot-making ability; James said it's what he does.

"You've seen some of the shots, the routine shots, that Steph was making in Game 7 that everybody was going crazy after," James said. "That's just Steph. When you're that great, you make tough shots like that. So, we've got to be locked in and not hurt ourselves."

Curry has been and will continue to be a problem for the entire NBA till he retires, and right now, he is a thorn in the Lakers' side. We've seen this type of movie before with the matchup of James and Curry; however, we cannot take this for granted. We might never see this type of matchup ever again, and we need to appreciate it from all perspectives.

True basketball fans know this, including Lakers head coach Darvin Ham.

"It's the best rivalry of this generation ... those two players," Lakers coach Darvin Ham said. "It's going to be another fun battle."

We're in for an all-time series. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.
