NBA Twitter Reacts to Maxi Kleber’s Game-Winning Buzzer Beater vs. Lakers

In this story:
Redemption is oh, so sweet.
On Friday night, Maxi Kleber and the Dallas Mavericks got just that in a buzzer-beating victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, 111-110. The game-winning 3-pointer from the hands of Kleber as time expired was a fitting ending in Hollywood.
The Mavericks fell behind by nine points with just four minutes remaining and their chances of stealing the game on the road began to look bleak. But, with just seven seconds left, Lakers' Anthony Davis gave Dallas some hope when he fouled Kleber on a 3-point attempt. Kleber made all three free throws.
In the final possession following Davis making just 1-of-2 from the free-throw line, it was Kleber who redeemed himself from Wednesday night's blunders against the San Antonio Spurs in the best way imaginable.
"I've never had a game winner like that," Kleber said following the win. Kyrie Irving, who scored 38 points of his own, walked off the court and told his teammate, "that's redemption."
It was Irving who drove to his right and attracted a double-team, which helped find the wide-open Kleber on the wing for the game-winning shot off of a zip-line pass.
With the victory, Dallas jumped to the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference with help from the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves' losses. The Lakers dropped one spot to No. 10 – the final play-in spot.
