Brooklyn Nets' Frontcourt Listed Probable to Play vs. Hawks

In this story:
The Nets are set for a bout against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night, likekly continuing to position themselves for the 2026 NBA Draft.
The Nets have gotten lucky with Pacers and Kings wins in recent days, helping Brooklyn jump to the second-best odds at the draft. At 18-58 on the season, the Nets are obviously prioritizing their draft odds, and now control their own destiny to land the second-best odds or better with losses the rest of the way.
Finishing with the second-best draft odds would guarantee they fall no lower than No. 6, which would automatically help them to grab their best pick in decades. Despite that, they'll certainly want to land a top-four pick, grabbing one of AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, Cameron Boozer and Caleb Wilson.
The Hawks are one of the hottest teams in the league right now, having rattled off 17 wins in 19 tries.
Here are the injury reports for both the Nets and Hawks ahead of tonight’s game:
Brooklyn Nets injuries:
Nic Claxton — Probable: Right hand soreness/illness
Noah Clowney — Probable: Left ankle soreness
Egor Demin — Out: Left plantar fascia injury management
Michael Porter Jr. — Out: Left hamstring strain
Day’Ron Sharpe — Out: Left thumb surgery
Danny Wolf — Out: Left ankle sprain
Atlanta Hawks injuries:
RayJ Dennis — Questionable: G League
Keshon Gilbert — Questionable: G League
Jock Landale — Out: Right high ankle sprain
The Brooklyn Nets are somewhat limping to the finish line, listing six players in total, though a few are probable.
Players in Egor Demin and Day’Ron Sharpe are both set to miss the rest of the season, the former out due to plantar fasciitis and the latter having suffered a thumb injury that required surgery. The team’s leading scorer in Michael Porter Jr. is trending similarly, ruled out with a hamstring strain with just six games remaining on the team’s schedule.
Both Nic Claxton and Noah Clowney are probable to play, a big boon to the team’s frontcourt. Claxton is averaging 11.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game, and Clowney 12.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
The Hawks list just three players in total, two of which are questionable to play on G League assignment. Center Jock Landale has been ruled out with an ankle sprain.
The Nets and Hawks tip off at 6:30 p.m. CT from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
