Luka Doncic Gets Honest About Nikola Jokic

In this story:
The Denver Nuggets defeated the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night in what was another great battle between Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic. Speaking with reporters after the game Doncic was asked about Jokic, and shared high praise for the Nuggets star.
"He's not really on the media stuff a lot, but all the players, all the coaches know how special he is," Doncic said, per Dalton Trigg of FanNation's Dallas Basketball. "Everybody knows how special he is… He’s right now, probably the best basketball player in the world."
On competing against Jokic, Doncic added, "It's great. It's always fun with him. Of course he’s an amazing basketball player, but he's a great guy. That's what I love the most about him, just always joking around. He's just a simple and very amazing man."
There is a lot of mutual respect between Jokic and Doncic, and the Nuggets star joked that his favorite thing about Doncic is being able to beat him and make fun of him. The two players have split their 14 career games against each other, both winning seven of them. Their stats are also very similar in these games, which has made for some incredible matchups.
With both the Nuggets and Mavericks having high hopes for their chances in the Western Conference this season, perhaps they will see each other in the postseason for an exciting matchup.
