NBA Insider Reveals Harsh Reality for Denver Nuggets

In this story:
After their offseason additions helped them win an NBA Championship, the Denver Nuggets haven't had the greatest free agency so far. While it was always a strong possibility that Bruce Brown would leave for a bigger deal, the Nuggets also lost Jeff Green.
During a recent episode of The Old Man and The Three podcast, NBA insider Brian Windhorst detailed this harsh reality for the Nuggets, explaining how their offseason has not been great so far.
"The Nuggets have not had the greatest summer," Windhorst said. "Last summer they smashed it out of the park. They drafted Christian Braun, a guy who could play rotation minutes in the Finals for them... They signed Jeff Green to a minimum contract, extremely great value. They signed Bruce Brown to the taxpayer mid-level... Maybe the best free agent signing of last summer. And they traded Monte Morris for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who ended up playing a very important role in them going to the championship."

After explaining how good their summer was last year, Windhorst explained that they've now lost Jeff Green and Bruce Brown, while re-signing Reggie Jackson who was not even in their rotation. It was a fair observation from Windhorst, who recognizes Denver was in a tough spot this summer, but also hasn't done a great job maximizing this free agency period so far.
