Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton has been a WWE fan since he was young. He used to watch wrestling at his house with his late uncle, Gary, and his dad is into WWE as well.

"He knew my mom would pay for the pay-per-view... if I cried hard enough for it," Haliburton joked of his uncle on Saturday. "It's just a memory that I have with him."

The Pacers All-Star guard has always been into the sport. He tweets about it often, and he has streamed himself playing the WWE2K video game series on Twitch in the past. He's a diehard fan.

So he, of course, has to go see it in person when WWE Fastlane comes to Indianapolis tonight. It will take place in Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where the Pacers play their home games.

"I'm looking forward to it," Haliburton said. He attended WWE SmackDown last November when it was in Indianapolis.

The Pacers play a preseason game in Memphis on Sunday night, and Haliburton will be there. But he won't be traveling with the team. He made his own arrangements to travel separately so he could watch the event tonight.

It's been about six weeks in the making, according to Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle. "Tyrese is not going to travel with the team this afternoon," he shared on Saturday. "He's gonna stay tonight, he's going to go to the WWE event. He's got transportation arranged to meet us tonight in Memphis and he'll be there for shootaround [tomorrow]."

The Pacers have leaned in to Haliburton's love for WWE, even playing Triple H's theme song "The Game" while Haliburton approached the podium at a press conference to announce his contract extension.

"Very curious to see what they have in store for him tonight," Carlisle said. "As long as they don't put him in a sleeper hold, it will be good."

Haliburton made predictions for the entire lineup after practice on Saturday, which can be seen below.
