The Indiana Pacers begin a short road trip on Sunday night when they take on the Orlando Magic. It's an important game between two teams that are close in the standings and fighting for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Magic have already toppled the Pacers twice this season, including once in embarrassing fashion back in November. Orlando's top-five defense and length has given Indiana fits this year, but the blue and gold will have one more chance to figure it out in 2023-24.

Pacers vs Magic Injury Report

For the Pacers, Doug McDermott is out with a right calf strain and Bennedict Mathurin is out with a torn right labrum. Quenton Jackson, Oscar Tshiebwe, and Isaiah Wong are questionable as a part of their two-way contracts.

For the Magic, Markelle Fultz and Jalen Suggs are questionable. Kevon Harris, Jett Howard, and Trevelin Queen are out.

Key Matchup

Pascal Siakam vs Paolo Banchero: If there's any reason for Pacers optimism after two rough performances against Orlando this season, it's that they have Siakam now. They didn't for the first two meetings, and his size is important against bigger teams like the Magic.

Siakam can disrupt Banchero somewhat and will force the All-Star forward to play defense and be at his best. That hasn't been necessary in past meetings. Whichever team has their starting four man play the best will have a great chance to win.
