PHOENIX -- The New Orleans Pelicans will have the talents of big man Zion Williamson against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.

"I wish I knew," joked Suns coach Frank Vogel when asked how to stop Williamson during his pre-game press conference.

Williamson was originally questionable with a finger injury, which caused him to miss Friday's game against the San Antonio Spurs.

It's been rare to see Williamson miss action in 2023-24, as his 65 games played this season is a career-best for the two-time All-Star. Thus far, Williamson is averaging 22.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.0 assists per night. His averaged assists per game would be a career-high.

New Orleans approaches this matchup needing a win to keep their hopes of evading the plan-in tournament alive. A loss would be them two games behind Phoenix (essentially three since the Suns hold the regular season tie-breaker over them) with just four games remaining on their schedule.

Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram remains out due to a knee contusion while Naji Marshall (left shoulder) and Jose Alvarado (right oblique strain) also approached this matchup as questionable. Marshall is out but Alvarado will play.

Phoenix ruled just Damion Lee out of action with his meniscus tear as Grayson Allen and Jusuf Nurkic were cleared with their prior injuries.

Suns-Pelicans is set for 3:00 PM Arizona time tip-off.
