The Toronto Raptors will look for their first win of the new year Friday night when they play host to the New York Knicks at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Where to Watch

Sportsnet and TSN 1050 will broadcast the game in Toronto. MSG Network and ESPN New York will call the game for New York.

What to Watch For

  • The Raptors need to start shooting better. Their field goal percentage ranks third-worst in the league and their three-point shooting has been equally horrendous. It starts with Fred VanVleet hitting more of his shots and the bench providing a little more pop or Toronto is going to continue to struggle.
  • Scottie Barnes is taking some time to get used to all this drop coverage opposing teams are playing against him, daring him to shoot with plenty of room to operate. It took him until the fourth quarter on Wednesday to get going before he broke out late and into overtime. Toronto needs him to stay aggressive throughout and use that extra space as a runway to attack the hoop.
  • With each passing game, it's getting tougher and tougher to see Toronto turning its season around. If the Raptors are going to do anything this season, it better start soon with a few home wins over the next couple of days.

Injury Reports

The Raptors will remain without Otto Porter Jr.

The Knicks have ruled out RJ Barrett with a lacerated right index finger.

Game Odds

The Raptors are -3.5 favorites with an implied win probability of 63.2%. The total for the game is 218.5.
