The Houston Rockets are in the loss column once again following a 121-115 loss to the Dallas Mavericks in Tuesday night's In-Season Tournament finale.

With the loss, the Rockets fall to 0-6 away from Toyota Center and remain the only team in the NBA without a road win.

In the latest episode of the "Kiss of Death Podcast," I recap and break down the Rockets' loss to the Mavericks and look into why the team has struggled on the road.

Despite losing each of their first six road games of the season, the Rockets have been competitive in all of them except for the 30-point loss against the Orlando Magic ... and even in that game, Houston trailed by a single point midway through the third quarter.

The Rockets have remained competitive on the road, which provides hope that the team will be able to overcome these struggles. If the Rockets were getting blown out on the road, this would be a different story.

However, the energy we see in home games that the Rockets feed off of needs to be curated on their own while they are on the road. The Rockets held a four-point lead against the Mavs going into the fourth quarter. However, Dallas was able to feed off of its crowd to the tune of 37 fourth-quarter points, which is a poor showing from a Rockets team that has one of the best defenses in the league.

Eventually, if the Rockets continue to play at this level, they will find ways to win on the road. However, it would be rewarding and reassuring to have that winning start sooner rather than later.
