Houston Rockets vs. Pacers Preseason Preview: How to Watch, Lineups, Injury Report, More

The Houston Rockets will play the first of five preseason games Tuesday against the Pacers, which will mark Ime Udoka's debut as head coach.

HOUSTON — The Houston Rockets will open their five-game pre-season schedule Tuesday night against the Indiana Pacers inside the Toyota Center. The game will mark the debut of Ime Udoka, who will take the lead as the 16th coach in franchise history.

The pre-season match against the Pacers is an opportunity to test the schemes Udoka has instilled into the team throughout the offseason and training camp.

"The first two games will be more about us laying the foundation, and then we will experiment more with the things we will implement," Udoka said. "We have added more since we got back from Louisiana over the last two days. But this game is more about us building off what we have done so far."

Udoka said he has loved the progression of his players. And with everyone healthy, Udoka said all of his players will be available versus the Pacers.

The Pacers will be playing their second exhibition game following Sunday's 127-122 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. Rookie Jarace Walker had an impressive debut with 19 points (7-of-15 FG), nine rebounds, four steals and a block.
