Houston Rockets vs. San Antonio Spurs Preview: How to Watch, Lineups, Injury Report, More

In this story:
SAN ANTONIO — The Houston Rockets (0-1) will close their two-game road trip Friday night against the San Antonio Spurs (0-1) inside the Frost Bank Center.
The Rockets will try to avoid a 0-2 start for the second consecutive season. But trying to record their first win will not come easy due to the arrival of French phenom Victor Wembanyama.
Wemby had a solid debut in the Spurs' 126-119 loss to the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday night. He posted 15 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the field, 3-for-5 from behind the arc, five rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block.
Wembanyama's performance was similar to his preseason performance against the Rockets on Oct. 18, where the Spurs took a 117-103 victory.
"He is talented," Jae'Sean Tate said. "For a guy to be that big and as skilled as he is, it is something you do not come across. Once he gets a little bit of weight on him, I think he is going to be a big problem in the league."
The Rockets had an embarrassing outing to open their 2023-24 season, where they fell 116-86 to the Orlando Magic.
