On Monday evening, the Houston Rockets will face off against the Dallas Mavericks, hoping to grab yet another win.

After dropping its first two games of the season, Houston is now riding a three-game win-steak, having beaten the Nets, Raptors and Celtics in succession.

Their latest win against Boston was the most impressive, as they beat down on the C’s with a mix of both offense and defense. Kevin Durant scored 26 points on hyper-efficiency, Alperen Sengun has a near-triple-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, and Houston was able to hold Boston to just 101 points in total.

Now, Houston will look to extend its win-streak to four against the Mavericks, who have struggled to exit the launchpad early this season.

Dallas sits at 2-4 so far, having already seen a handful of injuries across their lineup, in addition to the slow start of top pick Cooper Flagg. Suffice it to say, both teams will be looking to leave Monday with a win.

Here are the injury reports for both the Rockets and Mavericks ahead of tonight’s bout:

Houston Rockets injuries:

Isaiah Crawford — Out: G League

Dorian Finney-Smith — Out: Left ankle

Kevon Harris — Out: G League

Jabari Smith Jr. — Questionable: Right ankle

Fred VanVleet — Out: Right knee

Dallas Mavericks:

Anthony Davis — Out: Left calf

Dante Exum — Out: Right knee

Kyrie Irving — Out: Left knee

Dereck Lively II — Out: Right knee

The Rockets have several mainstays on their injury reports, including Fred VanVleet, who is likely to miss the entire 2025-26 season after suffering a torn ACL in an offseason workout, as well as Dorian Finney-Smith, who continues to work his way back from an offseason surgery.

The most notable part of Houston's injury report would be a new addition in Jabari Smith Jr., who is listed as questionable to play in tonight's game against Dallas.

Smith’s questionable designation means his ankle injury likely isn’t something to worry about long-term, but it could play a factor against the Mavericks. Smith has seen a solid start to the season, averaging 15.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks per game.

The Mavericks, too, are dealing with injuries in the early part of the season. Star guard Kyrie Irving will remain out after tearing his ACL early in 2025. He is expected to be back sometime in early 2026, though there is no real timetable for his return just yet.

Additionally, Dallas will be without two of its best players in star Anthony Davis, as well as 7-footer Dereck Lively.

The Rockets and Mavericks will tip off at 7 p.m. CT.
