In this story:

1. CAPELA TO SPURS? "Bleacher Report suggested a three-team trade that would send Atlanta Hawks center Clint Capela to the Spurs."

2. THE SPURS AREN'T BORING "Manu Ginobili is one of the flashiest, most break neck on court players of his generation. Tony Parker was a sports car on the floor and we'll all be reminded of that in the coming days through the numerous highlights that will run ahead of his Hall of Fame induction next month. He was once married to a Hollywood starlet for goodness sake."

3. PAYNE'S ROLE WITH SPURS "And Payne is no stranger to that, as he'll look to continue to be a strong scorer, an improving defender and most importantly, a fervent leader."

4. KAWHI TO WEMBY? "The Spurs haven't made the playoffs since 2018-19, posting four straight losing seasons during their current playoff drought. But it was their 22-60 record this past season - the third-most single-season losses in franchise history - that helped them win the Victor Wembanyama sweepstakes, who they drafted No. 1 overall in June."

5. CARUSO TO MAVS? "In a hypothetical trade proposal from Bleacher Report, the Mavs would acquire Alex Caruso from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Jaden Hardy, JaVale McGee, and a 2025 second-round pick."
