Devin Booker Impressed With New Teammates

The Phoenix Suns shooting guard pointed to Jock Landale as a player he's been fairly impressed with thus far in training camp.

We're just one day into training camp, and the new guys for the Phoenix Suns have already started to make an impression on Devin Booker.

Despite some departing pieces, the Suns ensured their lineup would remain strong by trading for center Jock Landale and signing Josh Okogie and Damion Lee among others.

On Wednesday, Booker was asked which new addition has stood out the most:

"I don't want to say nobody in a bad way, but I know these guys. I have a lot of respect for them and I watch a lot of basketball. A lot of them, we're similar in age so we've all came up through this," said Booker.

"I've enjoyed playing with Jock [Landale]. He's making the right plays out there. He's one of the few players on the team I haven't seen the most of and it's been very impressive."

The praise didn't stop there from Booker, who touched on Lee and Okogie as well:

"I know D-Lee coming from an organization [Golden State] that I think has some similar values as us, playing together, playing hard, just everybody out there doing what it takes to win," said Booker.

"I talked to D'Angelo [Russell] just yesterday about Josh and he said , 'You're gonna enjoy playing with him. He's gonna guard, he's gonna make your job easier' and that's what we need out there."

That's the ultimate goal for Phoenix: Get guys who can make everybody's life just a bit easier on the court, but especially for a superstar such as Booker.

Plenty of basketball is ahead, with Phoenix's first preseason game coming on Sunday. Yet the freshly acclimated Suns are already making an impression on Phoenix's top player.
