NBA, Suns and Nuggets Fans React to Game 6 Blowout

The Phoenix Suns lose at home in embarrassing fashion again sending the Twitter world into a frenzy.

Ahead of Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals, the Footprint Center was a loud ruckus with spirited Phoenix Suns fans anticipating a win to extend their season.

The loudest the building ever got was moments before tip-off. Suns fans watched in eerie silence as the Denver Nuggets eliminated the Phoenix Suns in demoralizing fashion for the second straight year.

Last year’s Western Conference Semifinals was a memory that Suns fans will never forget as the most embarrassing playoff loss, perhaps in NBA playoff history, occurred in Game 7 to the Dallas Mavericks.

The loss was the most embarrassing Suns showing in franchise history, if it wasn’t for Thursday night.

Phoenix’s 125-100 loss on home court to the Nuggets didn’t give the dismantling justice, the Suns were flat out killed.

The first half of basketball was an all-out slaughter in all aspects of the game. The Suns at one point were down by as many as 32 points. Durant and Booker finished an abysmal 6-23 in the first half. The Nuggets scored 81 points in the first half and lead by 30 points.

Twitter began to blow up mid-way through the second quarter as the Suns were getting thwarted in all areas of the game:

The Suns were setting franchise records Thursday night, in the worst possible way. The halftime buzzer sounded as boo's began to rain down.

Offensively, Durant was forcing some of the most contested shots all season trying to get things going. Booker struggled to find a rhythm as well as he was swallowed up by Jamal Murray on the perimeter and met inside by Nikola Jokić.

The loss was very much reminiscent to last year's embarrassment on home court and fans began to notice.

The Chris Paul made three pointer meme even made a reference online with the Suns losing severely in the third quarter and no real comeback effort being made.

This time, the victim was unfortunately G Cam Payne, who had himself a playoff career high 31 points.

The fourth quarter was a quiet end to the Suns season, literally. Cheers were rarely heard and long faces were seen throughout the arena as reality began to set in. Even Suns players couldn't hold back their defeated look.

The future of Phoenix basketball will be tackled by new owner Matt Ishbia, who has already made a title wave in moves in his first year.

Fans took to the timeline to express frustration and speculation as the biggest expectations in Phoenix franchise history played out in an utter beatdown Thursday night.
