In this story:

For someone who hasn't made their trade demands public, Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant sure has found himself in one of the largest rumor mills in recent NBA history.

The Phoenix Suns have been participants from the start, beginning with landing atop Durant's shortlist of preferred destinations along with the Miami Heat

We've seen other suitors make cameos as well. Golden State, Boston, Philadelphia, etc.

However, the Suns have been one of the few spots that have continuously been linked with Durant. Phoenix has (reportedly) been unwilling to meet the demands of Brooklyn, much like the rest of the interested teams.

In recent weeks, Durant reportedly had a meeting with Nets owner Joe Tsai and asked Brooklyn to trade him if they didn't fire general manager Sean Marks and head coach Steve Nash.

Tsai responded on Twitter.

NBA insider Marc Stein also reported he spoke with a league executive that was very adamant Durant would "rather retire" than to play for Brooklyn again.

Durant's future with the Nets (and apparently in the NBA) is as cloudy as ever, but recent movement in odds have seen the Suns jump the Toronto Raptors to get KD.

Phoenix Suns Jump in Odds for Kevin Durant

Here are the updated odds on DraftKings for Kevin Durant's next team:

Brooklyn Nets (-140)

Boston Celtics (+200)

Phoenix Suns (+225)

Toronto Raptors (+550)

Miami Heat (+800)

Last week, The Athletic's Shams Charania wasn't buying the hype for Durant to land in Phoenix.

"Could Phoenix come up with some kind of package around Mikal Bridges and four/five/six first-round picks to send to another team and try to get back in this race? Because once Deandre Ayton had his contract offer sheet from Indiana, that four-year, $133 million, once it was matched by Phoenix, it really created a position for Phoenix [where] they didn't have many assets besides Mikal Bridges and a bunch of draft picks," said Charania.

“We'll see where Phoenix [is], to me, they are still very, very far behind from the rest of the pack."

Opinions differ throughout the web. We'll see where Durant goes.
