Today, we have Phoenix Suns basketball.

The Suns are set to begin their 2022 Summer League schedule tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers

Since the team initially announced their roster, there have been a few unexpected changes. Most notably are the absences of Iffe Lundberg and Asbjorn Midtgaard.

However, there are still plenty of players for Phoenix fans to keep tabs on in Las Vegas. In one article choosing a player to watch for each team, ESPN's Kevin Pelton dubbed a potential depth piece in the Suns' backcourt for the upcoming season as noteworthy.

McKinley Wright IV Pegged as Summer League Player to Watch

In a must-read feature from Kevin Arnovitz before the draft, Suns GM James Jones outlined his philosophy on the limited utility of the draft. In something less than a coincidence, Phoenix has zero draft picks on its summer roster. Ish Wainright is the one returning Suns player on the roster, but there's an opening for Wright to offer Phoenix depth at point guard after spending last season on a two-way contract with the Timberwolves. -- Pelton

Playing for the Colorado Buffaloes in college, Wright was a three-time All-Pac-12 selection before going undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft. He signed a two-way deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves and appeared in five NBA games last year, spending the rest of his time in the G League.

The Suns are still in search of scoring depth off the bench, signing Josh Okogie and Damion Lee in free agency. Phoenix also lost Aaron Holiday to Atlanta in the offseason.

Here's some of Wright's highlights:
