Jalen Brunson Powers Knicks Past Suns

In this story:
PHOENIX -- On a night where Phoenix Suns legend Shawn Marion was set to be inducted into the team's Ring of Honor, it was New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson who stole the show.
Brunson's 50-burger carried the Knicks to a 139-122 win over the Suns on Friday night. Phoenix drops to 13-12 on the year and now have lost their last six-of-eight.
Brunson's 50 points was a career high for the point guard, surpassing his previous total of 48. Julius Randle (23) and R.J. Barrett (21) also made significant contributions.
This is the second time in three games the Knicks have hit 130+ points.
It was a back-and-forth game that saw the Suns lose Bradley Beal just minutes into action. Beal rolled his ankle after landing on it following a jump shot in the first quarter and was quickly ruled out the rest of the game.
New York went into the second quarter with a slim 31-30 lead while Phoenix held leads at the end of the second and third. The Knicks, however, battled back and carried a small advantage through the early portions of the fourth quarter before their lead reached double digits with just over seven minutes remaining.
New York never looked back.
The Suns were paced by Kevin Durant, who scored 29 points on the night. Booker was just behind him with 28 while Nurkic chipped in 21 points of his own.
Phoenix will be back in action on Sunday when they cap their homestand with a date against the Washington Wizards.
