OKC Blue: Blue Submit Waiver Claim on Vrenz Bleijenbergh, Signs With Windy City Bulls

The Oklahoma CIty Blue were looking to add to their roster Sunday evening.
As reported by Ben Creider of InsideTheThunder, the Oklahoma City Blue sent in a waiver claim for guard Vrenz Bleijenbergh, per sources.
The Blue’s claim was unsuccessful, with the 21-year-old guard electing to sign a G League contract with the Windy City Bulls, the G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls.
After going undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft, Bleijenbergh most recently played for Real Betis of the Liga ACB. Across 14 contests, he averaged 3.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists.
The Thunder organization had a documented liking towards the 21-year-old. Last summer, the 6-foot-10 guard carried out his first pre-draft workout in Oklahoma City for the Thunder.
The Oklahoma City Blue opted against using waiver claims in the acquisitions of Jahmi’us Ramsey and Robert Woodard II earlier in the week, signaling towards a push to acquire the Belgian-native.
