There's Reason to Believe This OKC Thunder Team is Legit

The Oklahoma City Thunder (49-20) have been one of the best teams in the NBA throughout the course of this regular season. However, with the playoffs around the corner, some are questioning their legitimacy with their size concerns and inexperience.

Despite sitting atop the Western Conference and projecting to take on one of the survivors of the play-in tournament, some still believe the Thunder might be an easy exit. A rare top seed to get ousted in the first round.

ESPN Analyst Zach Lowe is not someone who buys into the overblown concerns for Oklahoma City as he revealed on the latest episode of his podcast, The Lowe Post

“I tend to default to like the teams have told you about their quality for 82 games. The Thunder are who they appear to be, which is a damn good team on both ends of the floor. I do not think they are more or less vulnerable to upset than a typical No. 1 or No. 2 seed…I would pick them in any of those series,” Lowe said.

The ESPN Analyst went on to say this Oklahoma City team is a great team by his standards. One of the most respected voices in basketball media is all in on this upstart Thunder roster.

With Oklahoma City being top five in offensive, defense and net ratings with star shot makers, elite shooting and an obvious coaching advantage it is hard not to buy into the Bricktown boys.

While playoff series are often defined by matchups, the Thunder will have a fighting chance or better against any possible playoff opponent they face off against.
