Injury Report, Updated Odds (1/26): Oklahoma City Thunder at New Orleans Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans always seem to be a tough matchup for the Oklahoma City Thunder. The two teams have played just one time this season, and that was very, very early in the regular season.

Since then, things have changed plenty for both teams. The Thunder stands near the top of the Western Conference, as they are bouncing between the top two seeds with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

With a four-game win streak underway, the Thunder travels to New Orleans for a tough matchup that could prove to be difficult given the January stretch they have played so far.

Injury Report

Thunder:

Ousmane Dieng, OUT (G League)

Tre Mann, OUT (G League)

Olivier Sarr, OUT (Hip)

Pelicans:

Zion Williamson, OUT (Foot)

Matt Ryan, OUT (G League)

Dereon Seabron, OUT (G League)

Cody Zeller, Available (Face)

Once again, the Thunder will feature in another matchup that's not going to be influenced by the injury report. Neither team is going to have any key absences as it's mainly G League designations.

With injuries out of the picture in this game, it'll truly come down to who plays the cleaner matchup between the two teams.

Updated Odds

New Orleans opened up as a 2.5-point favorite, but that line has since moved to 1.5-points, still in favor of the Pelicans. Given the location of the game, it makes sense for the Pelicans to be very short favorites. It feels like the two teams are going to play close in each of their matchups, as both teams do a good job defensively in this matchup.

The Thunder arguably come into this game in better recent form, but, again, the Pelicans know how to slow down the Thunder's offense. The Thunder need this win if they want to recapture the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, whereas the Pelicans are hovering at the No. 6 seed in the West.
