Twitter Reacts to the OKC Thunder’s Big Win Over Boston Celtics

In this story:
The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night in a battle between league titans.
It was a back-and-forth affair til the end, with OKC eventually coming out on top, 127-123.
Even with the loss, Boston remains the league's best team with a 26-7 record, and will undoubtedly still hold the best odds at the 2023-24 NBA championship.
Boston made it a game late, getting to the foul line time and time again to cut the lead down in the fourth quarter. The Thunder were resilient though, with Josh Giddey hitting two clutch free throw to put the game on ice. After a near-Kristaps Porzingis 3-pointer, Gilgeous-Alexander would hit another pair.
The win was no fluke, as it pushed the OKC win-streak to five, giving them a 23-9 record on the season. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the team’s bonafide MVP candidate, added 36 points on 14-for-22 shooting to down the Celtics.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the Thunder’s big win:
so the thunder, huh.

We gotta stop talking about OKC through the lens of if they can trade for a star and start appreciating this team for what it is. The Thunder, as constructed are contenders — full stop.

I can't get over how great Cason Wallace already is for OKC. Automatic corner 3-point shooter. Excellent perimeter defender. Versatile. Knows his role. Plays only 22 minutes per game for the Thunder but capable of so much more when needed.

10 point lead, Thunder.

If Josh Giddey truly turns things around this season, Oklahoma City is going to take things to another level.
I think the Thunder have finished breakfast and moved on to lunch and dinner.

Thunder are legit. They’re so good. SGA might be my MVP vote at the moment.
— Ryan Blackburn (@NBABlackburn) January 3, 2024
If you didn’t think SGA was firmly at the top of the MVP conversation, tonight will certainly change your mind.
— Nick Crain (@CrainNBA) January 3, 2024
Thunder leads the Celtics by 12 entering the final frame.
SGA: 33-6-6
OKC is doing this without Ousmane Dieng

Think about that
Oklahoma City is back in action against the Atlanta Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan 3. They've won eight of their last nine games.
