Last Two Minute report inexplicably rules Edwards was not fouled on dunk

"Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC) brings his hand towards Edwards' (MIN) arm, and the contact during the shot near the rim is marginal."

Anthony Edwards was not fouled on his thunderous dunk late in the Wolves' 107-101 win Monday night according to the NBA's Last Two Minute report.

Edwards was left visibly frustrated as refs did not call foul after Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander hit his arm during the dunk. The report reasons that "Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC) brings his hand towards Edwards' (MIN) arm, and the contact during the shot near the rim is marginal."

The Wolves guard could be seen pleading for a foul call after the big dunk.

Calling the contact "marginal" is an interesting choice of words when replays and pictures of the incident show SGA clearly grabbing and holding onto Edwards' arm.

Ultimately the missed call didn't matter in the result as the Wolves claimed a huge win on the road against a Thunder team they're battling with for the top spot in the West.

Gilgeous-Alexander finished the game with 16 free throw attempts, Edwards finished with just four. Over the last two weeks the Thunder guard leads the league, by a wide margin, with 97 free throw attempts. The next closest is Dallas' Luka Doncic with 81 attempts, Edwards has the eighth most in that time frame with 50 attempts.

The L2M report may not be the final word on this incident. Edwards could be in line for a fine after questioning the referees' decision making in postgame comments.

It's not the first time the Wolves have felt hard-done by the refs. In last Tuesday's three-point loss to the Hornets, the Last Two Minute report said refs missed ten calls , seven against Minnesota, in the closely fought game.
