Unfortunately there is a lot of sad news to report lately including the heartbreaking loss of Jacqueline Cruz-Towns the mother of Timberwolves star Karl Anthony Towns who died of complications of the coronavirus at the age of 58. Towns previously took to social media to alert people to take the virus seriously amid his mother being diagnosed. The NBA community rallied to support Towns during this extremely difficult time. We here at Sports Illustrated would like to join in wishing KAT and his entire family the very best in light of the tragedy.
