What’s Missing From The NBA Opening Night Schedule

If you’ve been craving the return of the NBA regular season, you won’t have to wait much longer. As a matter of fact, we are getting closer and closer to the return of seeing some of the best athletes in the entire world. The return of the NBA regular season is slated for Tuesday October 24th, 2023. There will be three games on the schedule that evening: LA Lakers @ Nuggets / Phoenix Suns @ Golden State Warriors/ Philadelphia 76ers @ Milwaukee Bucks.

It will be a TNT Double Header headlined by Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, Kenny “The Jet” Smith, and the guy everyone loves, Ernie Johnson. The panel just mentioned is full of stars. Shaq is arguably a top 10 player of all time. Charles Barkley was an All Star numerous times in his career. Kenny has won a couple of championships in his career as he played a vital role in doing so and Ernie Johnson is one of the greatest sports commentators of all time.

There is no wonder the NBA has these teams opening the NBA regular season for us. Some people consider LeBron James as the greatest player of all time. Anthony Davis is one of the most talented bigs in the game. Nikola Jokic is an NBA champion and MVP, who stuffs the stat sheet every single night. Kevin Durant is one of the game’s best scorers along with his teammate Devin Booker and Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green may be the NBA’s best Big Three of all time. Not to mention, Joel Embiid is the reigning league MVP and nobody Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the hardest players to stop.

There are quite a few former Wizard players who will be opening the regular season. We have Bradley Beal, Jordan Goodwin, Rui Hachimura, Chris Paul, Jay Huff, Ish Smith, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

The NBA is all about stars in the era we’re living in today. Players dictate a lot of different things in the league. The Wizards are already playing in one of the best cities in the world. Stars and celebrities love to visit DC. However, these stars and celebrities want to see stars on the court too. If the Wizards want to have the opportunity to play on important nights such as opening night or even Christmas, they will need to win and show potential, but most importantly, they must develop their players into superstar players the NBA and their fanbase love to see.
