Broncos add ex-Panther Colbert

Keary Colbert, a former second-round pick of the Carolina Panthers, has reached an agreement with the Denver Broncos on a three-year contract worth $7.2 million, plus a $2.5 million signing bonus, SI.com has confirmed.

Colbert, 25, will get a chance to compete with Brandon Stokley for the Broncos' No. 2 starting receiver job opposite Brandon Marshall.

Colbert has 109 career receptions for 1,424 yards with seven touchdowns. He set his career high for receptions and yards during his rookie season when he finished with 47 grabs for 754 yards and five scores.

Last season he had 32 catches but no touchdowns in eight games and finished the year on injured reserve.
