Miami Dolphins' wide receiver Brandon Marshall is in intensive care after being stabbed, according to reports by multiple media outlets.

Marshall reportedly was taken to Broward General Hospital and underwent surgery late Friday night after for a stab wound to the stomach. According to NFL Network's Albert Breer, Marshall's wife, Michi Nogami-Marshall, has been arrested and charged with one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Doctors told ESPN.com that said no vital organs were pierced and Marshall is expected to recover in two to three weeks.

NFL.com's Jason La Canfora tweeted a statement from Marshall's agent, Kennard McGuire, which said "This is a very difficult time for Brandon and family, thankfully he will make a full recovery. We simply ask that his privacy is respected.

Marshall, who was traded to the Dolphins by the Broncos last April, led Miami in 201 with 1,014 receiving yards despite missing two games. He has a five-year, $50 million contract.
