Wild-Card Weekend vs. Pittsburgh: 29-23 (OT) win
The Denver Broncos have now won eight games this season with Tim Tebow as their starting quarterback. The wild-card win over Pittsburgh, with Tebow connecting with Damaryius Thomas for the 80-yard game-winner on the first play of overtime, simply adds to his legend. Here's a recap of the other Tebow-aided victories.
Week 7 at Miami: 18-15 (OT) win
Tebow's first start came against a winless Miami Dolphins team in Week 7. Although the game was played in Miami, lots of fans wore Tebow jerseys, and the popular quarterback drew a big roar trotting onto the field for his first series. After a horrific start, Tebow threw two touchdown passes in the final 2:44 of regulation, scored a two-point conversion standing up with 17 seconds left to tie the game and, after a Miami turnover in overtime, led a drive that was capped by a 52-yard Matt Prater field goal.
Week 9 at Oakland: 38-24 win
Coming off a bye week, Denver coach John Fox used a zone-read offense similar to the one Tebow ran at the University of Florida. The result was Tebow putting up his highest single- game rushing total of the year and the Broncos scoring a season-high 38 points.
Week 10 at Kansas City:
17-10 win
Tebow scored his second rushing touchdown of the season but only completed two passes against the Chiefs. One was a 56-yard touchdown pass to Eric Decker in the fourth quarter to give the Broncos the win.
Week 11 vs. NY Jets: 17-13 win
Rex Ryan's defense was no match for the former Heisman winner, well...sort of. Tebow scored on a 20-yard run with 58 seconds left in the game to cap off the 95-yard, game-winning drive. The other Broncos touchdown was scored on an interception return by cornerback Andre' Goodman.
Week 12 at San Diego:
16-13 (OT) win
Tebow didn't lead his team to an overtime victory until after San Diego kicker Nick Novak missed a 53-yard attempt. With 29 seconds to go in the divisional contest, Matt Prater (inset) kicked a 37-yard field goal to give Denver the win. Tebow's 22 carries were the most in his short NFL career.
Week 13 at Minnesota:
35-32 win
Matt Prater kicked two Denver field goals in the final 93 seconds after Tebow led the Broncos on two late fourth quarter scoring drives. The Broncos passer also threw two passing touchdowns for the third time in 2011.
Week 14 vs. Chicago:
13-10 (OT) win
Tebow improved to 3-0 in overtime this season. He led a drive that resulted in a 59-yard, game-tying field goal from Matt Prater with three seconds remaining in regulation after Marion Barber ran out of bounds while trying to run out the clock. In overtime, after a Barber fumble, Tebow led the game-winning drive, which ended with a 51-yarder off Prater's right foot.
