Dec. 28, 1958

Yes, the Colts were still located in Baltimore at the time, but it would be remiss to exclude what most NFL experts call "The Greatest Game Ever Played." Legendary Colts quarterback Johnny Unitas compiles an incredible game-tying drive to force sudden death overtime in a back-and-forth 1958 NFL Championship against the New York Giants. Then, on a third-and-goal from the one-yard line, running back Alan Ameche plunges into the end zone to conclude what is still considered the greatest game ever played.

April 1998

The Colts select Peyton Manning out of Tennessee with the first overall pick of the 1998 NFL Draft. Even on the franchise defined by Johnny Unitas, Manning would establish himself as the most iconic quarterback in franchise history and is considered one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time.

Oct. 17, 2005

Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison break the NFL record for touchdowns between a quarterback-wide receiver tandem, breaking a record previously set by Steve Young and Jerry Rice. The Colts go on to destroy the Rams 45-28 in a game they were trailing 17-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Jan. 21, 2007

In what is widely considered one of the greatest games of the decade, the Colts rally from a 21-3 halftime deficit to knock off the New England Patriots and advance to their first Super Bowl with manning at the helm. All with an injured thumb, Manning commandeered an incredible second half that was capped by a Joseph Addai touchdown run with one minute left in the contest.

Feb. 4, 2007

The Colts and Chicago Bears square off in Super Bowl XLI on a dreary, rain-soaked day in Miami. Despite surrendering a Devin Hester kickoff return for a touchdown and trailing 14-6 at the end of the first quarter, a fourth quarter pick-six by Kelvin Hayden puts the Colts up 29-17 in the fourth quarter and clinches the first Super Bowl title for Indianapolis.
