After 256 regular season games, the 2012 NFL playoffs are under way. The fight for the Lombardi Trophy is on.

The 49ers">49ers will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl, a year after losing to the Giants in the NFC Championship Game. This year, they resiliently battled back from a 17-0 deficit to defeat the Falcons, 28-24, behind a composed effort from Colin Kaepernick and more of the strong running game they're known for.

In the AFC, the Ravens continued their stunning postseason run by shocking the Patriots, 28-13. New England took a 13-7 lead into the half, and Tom Brady had a 67-0 record when leading at the half at home. But the Ravens held the Pats scoreless in the second half, while posting 21 unanswered points, to give Ray Lewis one more game for another Super Bowl before retirement beckons.
