Giants to re-sign running back Peyton Hillis on a two-year deal

Running back Peyton Hillis will re-sign with the New York Giants on a two-year deal, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News.

Vacchiano cites a source as saying the former 1,000-yard rusher will probably sign Tuesday. The Giants picked him up in October last season after he was released by the Chiefs.

Hillis rushed for 247 yards (3.4 avg.) and two touchdowns, and had 13 receptions for 96 yards in seven games for the Giants last season.

The team's running back corps has been uncertain with Andre Brown a free agent and David Wilson recovering from neck surgery.
