The Patriots and free agent wide receiver Brandon LaFell have agreed to a three-year deal, according to CSNNE's Tom Curran and ESPN's Adam Schefter. Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports the contract is for roughly $11 million.

LaFell recorded 49 receptions for 627 yards and five touchdowns in his fourth season for the Panthers.

The Jets and Broncos were among other teams reportedly interested in LaFell.

The Panthers' roster of receivers will look quite different than last year's after the team cut Steve Smith and saw Teddy Ginn sign with the Cardinals.
