Bengals OC: Andy Dalton, A.J. Green best QB-WR duo

Publish date:

It's that time of the year again, when various NFL types tout their players as the best at their respective positions.

This latest declaration comes from Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson who says that quarterback Andy Dalton and receiver A.J. Green are the best duo in the NFL.

"I think they're the best in the game in my opinion," Jackson said to SiriusXM NFL Radio, via NFL Network. "I know people will fight that and say differently, but I've watched these guys and these guys have grown. They came in together. They started off hot, they're still hot. Every year statistically, they've gotten better."

Last season, Dalton had the best statistical season of his three-year career, throwing for 4,293 yards and 33 touchdowns. He also threw 20 interceptions and failed to win a playoff game for the third straight season.

Green caught 98 passes for 1,426 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.

More from Jackson:

"I think both of these guys are in the prime of their careers," Jackson said. "I wouldn't change the two guys I have for anybody at this point because these guys know how to do it together."
