The Dolphins made several moves this offseason which should help improve their rushing offense that ranked in the bottom half of the league in yards per attempt. The most notable acquisition was the signing of running back Knowshon Moreno.

The Dolphins also improved their offensive line by signing Pro Bowl guard Brandon Albert and Shelley Smith.

Miami used two draft picks on offensive linemen as well, taking tackles Ja'Wuan James and Billy Turner.

The Miami defense suffered a blow when it was announced that defensive end Dion Jordan will be suspended for the first four games of the season after violating the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy. But the addition of Cortland Finnegan should help improve a Miami pass defense which was already better than average.
