Suspended safety Will Hill signed a deal with the Baltimore Ravens, reports TheBaltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson.

The New York Giants released Hill last month, following a six-game suspension after testing positive for marijuana. He then signed a deal with the Arena Football League's Arizona Rattlers.

Hill also served a four-game suspension in 2012 for performance-enhancing drug use, and missed the first four games last season for again violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

"If we need it, Will will provide depth in the middle of the season," Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said.

Hill, 24, had 77 tackles, two interceptions and two forced fumbles for the Giants last season.
