Last season the Dolphins finished 8-8 and tied for second in the AFC East, missing the playoffs. They selected offensive tackle Ja'Wuan James in the first round of this year's draft and added corner backs Brent Grimes and Cortland Finnegan via free agency.

Miami will start their preseason schedule with two games on the road, visiting Atlanta and Tampa Bay, before playing a pair of games at home against Dallas and St. Louis.
