Seahawks receiver Kevin Norwood has bone spur removed from foot

Wednesday August 6th, 2014

Seahawks rookie receiver Kevin Norwood had surgery Tuesday to remove a bone spur from his foot, Seattle head coach Pete Carroll said, via The Seattle Times

Carroll said that Norwood could be back by the end of the preseason.

Norwood was a fourth-round draft pick out of Alabama this year.

Former Seahawks receiver Golden Tate signed with the Lions this offseason, and Sidney Rice decided to retire, leaving Doug Baldwin and Percy Harvin as the only Seahawks receivers with more than 25 career receptions.

The Seahawks play the Packers in the NFL's first game of the regular season, September 4 at home.
