The Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots will play Friday evening in each team's second preseason game. Both teams lost their preseason opener.

The Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots will play Friday evening in each team's second preseason game. Both teams lost their preseason opener. 

Philadelphia lost to the Chicago Bears, 34-28. Running back Matthew Tucker carried the ball 8 times for 40 yards and a pair of touchdowns. New England dropped their preseason opener to the Redskins, 23-6. Backup quarterbackk Jimmy Garoppolo threw for 157 yards and a touchdown. He is in competition with Ryan Mallet for the team's primary backup to Tom Brady.
