One man was sentenced to 57.5 years in prison for shooting Taylor, another man received a life sentence for first-degree felony murder and armed burglary and three others are waiting trial.

Taylor was drafted by Washington in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft, after an All-American season at Miami. He was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and the team inducted him into their Ring of Fame in 2008.
